I loved my nails tell i found out she drilled into my nail bed and its now cracked half way down after growing out. I told her I had thin nails guess she didnt care felt like a rush job for how much it is shouldn't be this painful. This is a before and after of the time it got worse.
I have been getting my nails done for 40 years at numerous and I found May at Magic Nails last year. I will never change salons again. She is professional and my nails look amazing every time. I make appointments and never have to wait. She is on time.
I was a walk in today for a luxury pedi $53. The person I came to a few months back wasn't available. I asked to take whom ever was available. No one told me how long the wait would be. I didn't mind because I bought my work with me. I waited about 30-40 minutes before I got to a pedi chair . I wanted a luxury pedi with the paraffin wax. When I got to the chair the manicurist filled the tub with water with no liner. I told her what I wanted and she walked away to get some else bc she didn't have the time . Wasn't til another 25-30 minutes before another manicurist came. I told her I didn't want a tub without a liner . She seemed stressed out and was telling me she was going to rush me because she had an appointment . That I was thrown on her. She told me she wasn't going to give me my full service but still wanted me to pay as if I had. She tried to justify it because I wanted a liner in my tub and that would take longer. She then went to the first manicurist who passed on me bc she also had an appointment. She went to her and in front of me complained that I wanted a liner. It's not that big of a deal. I don't have to spend my money where I'm being told I won't get a full service and where would be rushed. If I'm not wanted I'll go. That's what I did after an hour of no proper communication. I put in my shoes and left. No one said sorry nor good bye. As a service provider, if you do not have the time to complete a service to your full ability. Just say so! Don't try to be greedy and attempt to preform a subpar rushed service . I would have said something sooner about the liner but 1. A liner should not be upon request 2. No one came back to check on me until 30 min later. I would have been so mad had I paid $53 plus if got gel. Just to get a crappy pedi
I got my nails done on Feb 25th. It’s now March 8th and when I tell you my nails HURT. They’re cute. I love the design. But she filed too far on my nail beds. You can see the damage right where the acrylic is on my nail beds close to my cuticles. One nail started lifting and it ripped clean off (which is a me issue and not the salons) and I was horrified with the damage on my nail bed from the file. It should NOT look like the underneath of my nail beds are bleeding from the end of the acrylic! On one of the nails, she just left a bunch of acrylic and didn’t bother to clean it up. My nails have been so sore since I’ve gotten them done. This is not my first time getting a full set. I do my own nails time to time but I only got them done because I didn’t have the acrylic I needed. I know for a fact my nails shouldn’t feel like this. I don’t recommend this place.
so ive been going to this salon for almost 6 years. before this i had only had one previous problem with a set of nails and they fixed it and the costumer service was great. To backtrack a little every time I would go in I would get a full set because I’d go sporadically rather than on scheduled times. Every time I went, every nail tech I had would get irritated with me and say “you just need to get a fill-in Stop getting full sets” at first I took it to offense because I work at a dunkin, I get paid biweekly so when the time comes for me to get Paycheck hasn’t usually hit yet. But I went to get a fill in On a Monday for the first time (the girl that did them is always so sweet and nice so none of the customer service comments has nothing to do with her), Within two days after I got them done, my left thumb Just chipped I work full-time So it’s hard for me to find time to go back to the nail salon Unfortunately, the only time I had to go back in was The next Monday So I go in and one of the nail techs that I had had Before fixed my nail And when she lifted up her towel, a bunch of nail dust flew up. I had started coughing while she was Painting my nails, but I was trying to hold it in. She kinda in a rude way said stop moving. And I said sorry I just inhaled nail dust and I got no response. I had told her the reason I THINK that my nail chipped was because the tips of the nail were not painted. She ignored me and just painted the nail. Once she finished that was the end of it I left and I didn’t think of it again. Not an hour later, I clock into work and I wash my hands and all of a sudden my right thumb completely chipped off At this point, I’m irritated because I paid the extra money for gel so my nails would not chip because like I said, I do not have that kind of time to go in and out of the nail salon every day . So I called the store after I chipped my thumb because now I’m irritated The girl on the phone was nice but hinted that it was kind of my doing because I didn’t let the nail dry made it kind of seem like my fault and that I was welcome to come in and get my entire set repainted. So this morning I went in. I got my nails repainted and the tech that did it I’m pretty sure was the owner and at first she was understanding, but then as time went on, she got more of an attitude Like I said, I have been going here for so long. I have never gone to another salon, but now I’m rethinking going here because of the service and the way that some customers are treated. Because I felt like a problem and I felt like I was intruding just for asking to get my moneys worth. usually, the service is great. It’s a good price and the nails usually always look good but it has just been this past week of experience with them that makes me rethink this entire decision.
